Did you know that since 1982, the Republican Party had been legally prohibited from contesting elections due to suspected vote fraud, because of a legal agreement called the Consent Decree the GOP made with the Democrat Party?

District Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise, who, even after he retired, returned every year for the sole purpose of renewing his 1982 order for another year. Debevoise died in August 2015.
In 2010, the RNC appealed “to vacate or modify” the Consent Decreein “Democratic National Committee v Republican National Committee,” Case No. 09-4615 (C.A. 3, Mar. 8, 2012). But an appeals judge at the New Jersey District Court, Obama appointee Judge Joseph Greenaway, Jr., declined to vacate the decree.
Judge Vazquez, an Obama appointee, ended that noxious 1982 Consent Decree legal agreement between the RNC and DNC which had tied the Republican Party’s hands from contesting elections and investigating vote fraud for 36 years

One thing is clear - there will always only be two parties. If we keep splintering the "conservative" party, we are weakening the party as a whole. You do not see the liberals splintering. When push comes to shove, a democrat will ALWAYS, ALWAYS fall in line and vote with their party - not so for the stupid republicans!

Let us FIX what is wrong with the Republican party, clean house, sweep out the vermin. And to do that, we must go to the states that keep electing spineless RINOS. And when we DO get a conservative elected, and that conservative goes over to the dark side, RECALL THEM immediately. Better yet, since the repubs are so good at honoring those Consents, like the one on the voting fraud, make each one sign a Consent with we, the people, before we allow them to even run, let alone elect them!!

Uhm the decree is race based because it is only blacks being targeted for so called fraud. White woman -- white WORKING women, are the deciding vote for Hillary, not blacks. Yet no raids or over sight is occurring in WHITE areas. Why aren't poll sitters in the suburbs? Its modern Day Jim Crow! The sentiment is also racist at it's core. Black people just be stealin' all kinds of stuff, even elections. Can't trust them thar negroes. Deplorable 100 percent! there are some laws that should be broken and this is one of them. if the GOP stands by and doesn't challenge this 'law' then they are the bunch of wienies I think that they are. But then, it should be us to demand that they challenge it or they will continue to think all is ok with such a unlawful 'law'.

I am going to print it out and whenever I am at one of those Republican presentations - I am going to bring it up until they are sick of me.

This is total BS. This article does not even report the facts and is stale as it was authored in 2012. This stems from a 1982 agreement and was heard in 2012. If there is evidence of fraud then the vote can be challenged. I am a conservative through and through but I have become embarrassed by this type of rhetoric. We are beginning to look like a bunch of fools and our commentators are becoming no better than MSNBC.

Perhaps the RNC should send funds to the Libertarian Party pursue the case. This ruling apparently only applies to the RNC. What about the state Republican party pursuing the issue? Or a third party, such as the Libertarian Party, could pursue the issue. The RNC could send funds to such a party. unless, of course the RNC actually supports the DNC at the base, as I suspect is the case. Else the RNC would have had this nonsense removed years ago.

In short, suspicions of vote fraud?

That’s too bad, because a race-based consent decree negotiated by Democrats against the Republican National Committee a generation ago still has tied the RNC’s hands, and GOP officials could be cited for contempt—or worse—if they try to make sure American elections are clean.

Impossible?

No. Fact.

The case is the Democratic National Committee vs. the Republican National Committee, originally from 1982.

Democrats alleged Republicans were trying intimidate minority voters in New Jersey and brought the legal action. The RNC, inexplicably, decided to agree to a consent decree before a Democrat-appointed judge rather than fight the claims.

The judge, Dickinson Debevoise, appointed by Jimmy Carter, later retired but decided he would continue to control the case. The decision requires the RNC—but not the DNC—to “refrain from undertaking any ballot security activities in polling places or election districts where the racial or ethnic composition of such districts is a factor in the decision to conduct, or the actual conduct of, such activities there and where a purpose or significant effect of such activities is to deter qualified voters from voting; and the conduct of such activities disproportionately in or directed toward districts that have a substantial proportion of racial or ethnic populations shall be considered relevant evidence of the existence of such a factor and purpose.”

The rest of the agreement essentially requires the RNC to follow applicable state and federal election laws.

But the section cited above has been used for decades to warn off Republicans from any challenge to evidence of voter fraud in districts with “racial or ethnic populations.”

The law has remained, even though the RNC recently challenged it at the appellate level only to be turned down by Judges Joseph Greenaway Jr., appointed by Bill Clinton; Dolores Sloviter, appointed by Carter; and Walter Stapleton, appointed by Ronald Reagan, in the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

It now is pending before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Republicans have tried to change the decree since 2009, after Obama took office. But Debevoise has ruled that they failed to show that conditions in the U.S. had changed since 1982.

Debevoise said that since most minority voters support Democrats, the RNC still has an incentive to suppress minority votes.

He dismissed the idea of voter fraud and extended his own supervision of the case until 2017.

In March, the 3rd Circuit issued its affirmation of Debevoise’s decision.

WND recently has reported on allegations of voter fraud, including a claim by a poll watcher in Pennsylvania who said votes reverted to Obama by default, no matter who the voter selected.

The incident took place in the state where officials claimed Obama received a total of 19,605 votes in 59 voting divisions to zero for Mitt Romney and not far from the 100 precincts in Ohio in which Obama got 99 percent of the vote.

With evidence mounting that the vote tabulation did not reflect the true choices of voters, talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh declared: “Third-world, tin-horn dictators don’t get [these percentages]. I mean, the last guy that got this percentage of the vote was Saddam Hussein, and the people that didn’t vote for him got shot. This just doesn’t happen. Even Hugo Chavez [of Venezuela] doesn’t get 100 percent or 99 percent of the vote.”

OWW and Guess what 'they' (the CONSERVATIVE supreme court) upheld this decision AGAIN last month, solely because of the way the GOP has utterly abused the process in the past by blatant voter intimidation and on to the extreme, deliberate, and obvious focus on certain Democratic instances of registration errors and of possible voter fraud; While Republican occurrences of the same ilk, surprise surprise, go totally under their radar! The complete disregard for any sort of true "Election Fairness" which also happens to be the disingenuous guise of their argument is saddening and contemptible. In fact they are working diligently to turn that principle of 'fairness' on its head! Anyone that has a shred of intelligence and is willing to be HONEST here about the basis for this judicial conclusion knows that the real goal of most of these measures put in place by GOP legislators are there to disenfranchise certain voters and keep an old, largely white party relevant... PERIOD!
